Red and white stripes on my nails : r/calmhands

Does anyone else feel like the skin around their nails is now calloused? Or could this be something else? I can't stop digging into/picking at the thickened skin (pics) : r/calmhands

Guys what should I do about this?? My nails (esp. ring fingers) have some pretty bad ridges, and this one is starting to split. I'm several weeks into a no biting/picking streak
