This is a nice sized oval brass container that has a neat looking clam shell or sea shell on the front. This could be used as a catch-all in an entryway or mudroom, as a container in a bathroom, as a planter for indoor or outdoor plants, etc. I really like the two side handles. The handles are not so big that they stand out on the piece, but they are just big enough for your finger and thumb to hold onto on each side of the piece. The piece measures 10 1/4 inches long, is 6 1/2 inches wide, and is 3 3/16 inches high. This brass piece shows it's age with lots of patina and wear. It's both shiny and dull in different areas. It reflects light in an eye pleasing way without being too "Here I am" like highly polished brass tends to be. If you enjoy aged brass, you will likely adore this piece just as it is! If you prefer shiny brass pieces, you shouldn't have much trouble polishing up this container. This lovely brass piece is all packed up and ready to ship.
