A good vintage 10 inch WS No.40 billhook by William SWIFT.Marked with the WS Crown trade mark and 'WILLIAM SWIFT GARRANTEED GENUINE 40'.  Also stamped '10' near the handle, please see images.10 inch overall blade length.Good hardwood handle with steel ferrule and tang washer.No previous owner's stamps.A few minor surface knocks and scratches, please see images.1lb 81/4oz (684g) total weight.163/8 inches (410mm) overall length.May require sharpening before use.
