Dr. Jennifer Frick-Ruppert is a professor of biology and environmental science at Brevard College in western North Carolina, where she chairs the science and mathematics division. She is author of three popular books, all of which focus on nature and are listed on her website. She has written scientific articles on the Blue Ghost Firefly, the diet of Coyotes in the Southern Appalachians, the nutrition and caloric value of native fruits, and the developmental biology of sea cucumbers and other marine invertebrate animals.
