A gorgeous footed compote/bowl by the celebrated designer Sascha Brastoff in his Abstract Original design, model 061. Signed Sascha B on the bottom rim. Imprinted logo and hand marked model number on underside. 

Decorated in distinctive multi-colored rings of blue, sienna, and gold with crackle paint on a cream background.

Sascha Brastoff made decorative accessories, ceramics, enamels on copper, and plastics of his own design. He headed a factory, Sascha Brastoff of California, Inc., in West Los Angeles, from 1953 until about 1973. He died in 1993. Brastoff made hand-painted vases, bowls, ashtrays, and figurines with his trademark overglaze gold trim and flamboyant decorations.

Measures 9.25W x 9.5H

There is one very small chip along the rim, which is shown in the close up photo. Otherwise, in very good condition. No wear of the paint. It is still bright and sharp.
