Ford Capri 3.0S () Engine 2994 V6 OHV Registration Number VHK 494 S FORD (UK) SET /photos/45676495@N05/sets/72157623665118181 (for details of the Mk.III Capri and 3.0S please refer to shot 160) This car VHK 494 S was registered 20th January 1978 to the Ford press department and believed to be the only 3.0S Mk.III finished in this colour (Peppermint Green). The car was used by the Autocar magazine as a long term test car and run by Lotus Formula 1 driver John Miles and News editor Tony Howard. Returned to Ford in May 1979. It was purchased by John Miles who in addition to his motor racing, and position with Autocar ran WM developments.
